So what is Copaiba?

Copaiba Balsam is steam distilled from the gum/resin of Copaifera officinalis, a tree that is native to Brazil

COPAIBA is the new CBD: Copaiba – pronounced koh-pey-buh – is the next cannabidiol.

Copaiba balsam is a sap-like substance (oleoresin). It's collected from the trunk of trees that belong to the Copaifera genus. It is processed to make copaiba oil. Both copaiba balsam and copaiba oil are used to make medicine.

People use copaiba balsam for swelling (inflammation) of the main airways in the lung (bronchitis), infections of the kidney, bladder, or urethra (urinary tract infections or UTIs), and other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.

In manufacturing, copaiba balsam and copaiba oil are used in soaps, cosmetics, and perfumes.

Derived from the resin of the Copaifera tree and featuring an earthy, woodsy flavor, copaiba is an essential oil that shares similar properties to C.B.D.

Used for centuries, Copaiba Balsam has also been known to be beneficial in the treatment of piles, diarrhoea, coughs and colds, intestinal problems and stress related conditions.

Now more commonly recognised for its uses as a fixative and fragrance component, you can use this Balsam to create your own perfumes, soaps, cosmetic products and detergents, whilst benefiting from its bactericidal, disinfectant and expectorant properties.
